Zsolt Löw will assume as first coach of the RB Leipzig until the end of the season in substitution of the newly dismissed Marco Rose after the fall to the sixth place with a new defeat and the poor result against Borussia Mönchengladbach (0-1), as announced by the Bundesliga club.
Löw, 45, who until now served as Head of Soccer Development in Red Bull, signed a contract until the end of the 2024-25 season and will direct the training for the first time on Monday, the club reported in a statement.
The new coach will have the support of Peter Krawietz, 53, as a co -principal. “Zsolt Löw has everything that is needed to quickly achieve a change of course and give a remarkable impulse in terms of performance: extraordinarily a lot of experience, an extremely successful work in the best European clubs and the correct approach,” said the sports director of the RB Leipzig, Marcel Schäfer.
