Xabi Alonso could leave Bayer Leverkusen, which is already looking for replacements, at the end of the season

Spanish coach Xabi Alonso is in his third season at Bayer Leverkusen, current winner of the Bundesliga Cup.

In Germany they publish that the ‘Die Werkself’ offices are already working on the possibility that Xabi Alonso, who has a contract until 2026, changes his scene at the end of the season.

‘Sky Germany’ reports that Bayer Leverkusen is looking for a successor to the Tolosar coach and that they are considering the options of Sebastian Hoeness (VfB Stuttgart) and Sandro Wagner (assistant of the German team).

The possible exits that Xabi Alonso see in Germany: Manchester City or Real Madrid

The journalist Florian Plettenberg highlights that Xabi Alonso could have options to coach Manchester City next season (if Pep Guardiola decides not to renew) and even Real Madrid.

Currently, Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen occupies fourth place in the Bundesliga with 14 points in 7 games (4 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss), 3 points behind Bayern Munich.
