The American Johannes Verman won the Nedbank Golf Challenge of the DP World Tour on the Gary Player course, in the town of Sun City (South Africa). The first Spaniard was Jorge Campillo from Cáceres, thirteenth.
Verman, 209 in the world, completed a very successful final day and finished the eighteen-hole course in 69 strokes (three under par) with six birdies and three bogeys, with a total of 283 hits (-5).
The South African Aldrich Potgieter, 20 years old, could not retain the lead he held at the beginning of the last day and finished second by completing the course in 75 strokes (three over par) with four birdies, two bogeys and double bogeys. In total 284 hits (-4).
The first Spaniard to qualify in the Nedbank Golf Challenge was Jorge Campillo, thirteenth with 287 (-1). Behind Pablo Larrazabal (24th), Ángel Hidalgo (31st) and Nacho Elvira (40th).
Basque golfer Adrián Otaegui, who made his debut in South Africa as a player from the United Arab Emirates, finished twenty-fourth with 291 strokes (+3).
