Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has begun operating for 18 hours a day, starting from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM, after being closed for 10 hours a day for five months. The extended operating hours will facilitate the completion of physical infrastructure construction as part of the airport’s capacity expansion. Although 90% of the work has been completed, it will take another year and a half to finish the entire project, which is expected to cost approximately NPR 15 billion.
TIA to operate 18 hours a day from today
