FC Augsburg has confirmed through an official statement that the Augsburg Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation against a player of his.
As reported by ‘Augsburger Allgemeine’, last week an arrest warrant was carried out against the player himself for “inappropriate sexual behavior”, for which he was two nights in prison, from Wednesday to Friday.
So far the identity of the player is unknown. “Since it is an ongoing procedure in the player’s private environment, we request your understanding that the FCA cannot and is not authorized to make more comments. The FCA cannot mention the name of the player for legal reasons,” The German club affirms.
FC Augsburg has reported that the player, in these moments, is not participating in the team’s training and asks that the soccer player’s innocence presumption be respected.
