After his monumental anger for being sixth in Bahrain, of a discussion between his manager and Helmut Marko and his words, warning that Max Verstappen can leave in 2026 of Red Bull, it was the turn of the protagonist. Sitting at the FIA press conference, prior to the Saudi Arabia GP, the tetracampeon tried to throw all the balls out of the field, but perhaps the subconscious betrayed him or did it voluntarily. And it was when the word Ferrari came to light.
Seeing that Max is almost leader with the fourth car of the grill, it is not uncommon to think that with the current Ferrari (the second or third according to each track so far), he could be fighting for the World Cup too, something that Leclerc and Hamilton seem very far from being able to do with the SF-25.
One of the Italian envoys questioned Max with a well -thrown question, that there is talk of Mercedes and Aston Martin on their future agenda, but “why not Ferrari?”
And far from denying it or putting the face of ‘what the hell you are talking about’, Verstappen entered a lazy laugh that could contain hardly. He certainly likes that in Italy there is already talk of that and much more seeing that the beginning of Hamilton is not being idyllic with the Scuderia. His answer said a bit the opposite.
“Hehe, hehe. I don’t know, there are many people who are talking about this about my future, many less people,” he said smiling. “I just want to focus on improving my car, working with my team and it is the only thing I think. I am very relaxed,” said the Dutchman. Its nonverbal language indicates that it is pending, of course.
It was an appearance in which Alonso and Verstappen brought together 90% of the questions as almost always. In the case of the Dutchman they were very similar, such as their answers.
What expects from Arabia
“I hope we are going somewhat better than we were in Bahrain. It is a high -speed track and with a very different asphalt, so I hope we are more competitive and we find an intermediate point between what was seen in Japan and then in Bahrain. In general here it has always been given a race to a stop and I think more things happen when you have to go to two heat”.
Why does Marko fear for his march?
“I do not know. I still work and try to improve the car regarding what was seen in Bahrain. It was not a good weekend and we were all a disappointed Péco, but we will continue to improve and bring new ideas, this is how I step not me the weeks. And I focus on piloting and not thinking about anything else and you should do it in commenting (A Ted Kravitz of Sky Sports)”
Happy in Red Bull?
“I am happy in the team, but not very happy with how our cars are going.
A critical RB21
“In Suzuka it did pretty well and we were competitive, but the optimal performance window is very narrow and we must improve that and find a little more performance too. Last year we started very well and then change everything from summer and that is what we try to do now, change the situation, because there is a very long way this season. I am not thinking about my future and we move on.”
