Patrick Reed retains the lead and Sergio García continues to look in their fight to play the British Open

The American Patrick Reed retained this Friday the leadership in the Macao tournament, of the Asian circuit, at the end of the second day, with the Mexican Carlos Ortiz in second place, to a blow, after an outstanding performance, and the Spanish Sergio García, fifth, to four.

Reed completed the second tour with 64 blows, so it maintains the first position with -13 on the pair of the field, with a total of 127 impacts.

Behind, Ortiz stood, with -12, after being the best of the day, with only 61 blows, nine under the pair, thanks to ten ‘Birdies’ and a ‘bogey’.

The Australians Travis Smyth and Lucas Hervert are tied in the third place, with -10, while Sergio García shares the fifth position, with -9, with the Filipino Miguel Tabuena and the Zimbabuense Kieran Vincent.

Reed, 34 years old and 125 of the world, maintained the leadership thanks to the six ‘Birdies’ he signed, together with a Bogey.

Sergio García also made six ‘Birdies’, but added two ‘Bogeys’, so he closed the second day with a blow more than in the premiere.

One more impact (-8) that the Castellón counts the Colombian Sebastián Muñoz, who completed the second journey in 67 blows.

Reed, Ortiz, García, Muñoz and the Spanish David Puig, who is with -3 after the first two sessions, are some of the players of the Saudi LIV circuit who participate in Macao in order to win points for the world classification and presence in the great tournaments.

In the case of the Port City Tournament administered by China, the extra prize is the concession of three direct places to participate in the British Open that will take place from July 17 to 20.
