New ‘volantazo’ by André Silva, assigned to Werder Bremen: “Things have not gone as he imagined”

André Miguel Valente Silva (Baguim do Monte, 1995) does not finish finding his place in the world of football since, in 2017, he left Porto to leave transferred to Milan for 38 million euros.

Almost eight years have passed since then … and has gone through seven different teams: Milan (2017-20), Sevilla (2018-19), Eintracht Frankfurt (2019-21), RB Leipzig (2021- ??), Real Sociedad (2023-24) and Werder Bremen (2025).

The Portuguese international (53 games, 19 goals), which continues to belong to the RB Leipzig, leaves on loan to Werder Bremen until the end of the season.

“Things have not gone as he had imagined lately. That is why the door opened again for us in advance. We are absolutely convinced of its quality and we are glad that it has worked: André knows the Bundesliga for years,” he says Peter Niemeyer, sports director of Werder Bremen.

Since the Porto left, his best season at the scoring level lived in the 2020-21, when he scored 29 goals in 34 games with the Eintracht. In LaLiga he added 11 goals in 40 games with Sevilla and four goals in 27 envy with the Royal Society. This campaign had barely played 305 ‘with the RB Leipzig and had only achieved one goal.
