Rafa Nadal is a born competitor. Just a few days after making his retirement official, in the Davis Cup in Malaga, the winner of 22 Grand Slams returned to compete… in another of the sports he likes the most: golf. The Spaniard played the last round of the Q-Romia Hexagonal Circuit, which was held in Mallorca last weekend, and finished in eighth position in the Handicap category.
Nadal concluded the course of the event, held at the Son Servera club, with 76 strokes, four over par. The man from Manacor made two birdies on holes 9 and 16 of the circuit. This performance allowed him to help the Rafa Nadal Academy, the team under which he competed, to finish fourth in the general classification.

Although he has officially hung up his racket, Nadal’s agenda in the coming months is full of commitments. In addition to being an ambassador for Saudi Arabia, the possibility of an exhibition at the new Santiago Bernabéu against Federer is on the table. The captaincy of the Laver Cup could also take turns with the Swiss.
