The Finn Tapio Pulkkanen, with a 62-stroke card (nine bass torque), dominated with authority the first day of the China Open of the DP World Tour that is played in the Enhance Anting of Shanghai, in which only the Spanish Eugenio López-Chacarra, with 65 impacts (-6), endured his pull. The 25 -year -old from Madrid, has left a few months ago to be a member of the LIV Golf circuit and looks for new challenges.
Pulkkanen, 34, completed a perfect day with an ‘Eagle’ at Hole 4 and seven ‘Birdies’, with a total of 62 strokes (-9), three less than Eugenio López-Chacarra, which this year already won the Open of India and that he needed 65 impacts (-6) to complete the route, in which he made seven ‘Birdies’ and a ‘bogey’ thirteen.
With 67 strokes (-4) there is a trio formed by the Australian Jason Scrivener, the American Jordan Gumberg and the Neo Zealand Kazuma Kobori.
The Spaniards Pablo Larrazábal and Nacho Elvira, both with 69 strokes (-2), finished the day targeted with a large group of players.
More relegated in the classification, the Spanish Rafa Cabrera-Bello also ended with 70 strokes (-1) and Ángel Ayora, Alejandro del Rey, Joel Moscatel and Jorge Campillo with 71 (Par).
