Josh Windass’ great goal that in England they say is “better than Beckham’s iconic goal”

On January 1st the race for the Puskás Prize had already begun. Sheffield Wednesday player, Josh Windass, scored a spectacular goal from his own field that many fans are already comparing to David Beckham’s legendary goal.

The rival goalkeeper, Jacob Zetterström, could do nothing about Windass’s strike, which surprised everyone, in a match that Sheffield Wednesday ended up winning 4-2 against Derby County.

He is considered one of the best of his football career.

This was Beckham’s goal

The match commentators compared Windass’ goal to one by Beckham in 1996. Probably the best of his career. Against Wimbledon he scored a great goal from his own half that was chosen as the best goal of the 96/97 Premier League and is considered the best of his football career.
