The weekend at the House of the Verstappen has been … unbeatable. If the ‘child’ Max achieved a tremendous triumph in Suzuka crushing the McLaren in Formula 1, Dad Jos has not been less, in this case, in Rallies.
Verstappen senior (53 years) has scored the triumph in the Sierra Morena rally, where he played the Masters category (recently created) next to the Belgian Renaud Jamoul at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia (curiously, Cohete Suárez also won with that same car the test of the spoon of Spain)
Jos disputed his first test of the European Rallies Championship in which 42º Absolute concluded. “It’s nice to win, but it is not what we came for. The goal is to be closer to the leading pilots … That is the difficult thing. But I think we have done things well, although there are others that we have to improve a lot,” recognized Benetton’s ex, Arrows or Minardi.

There is the circumstance that some images of the test collected by fans have become viral. In them you can see Jos ‘by fire’ for the Revirados Sections Cordoba, where the scanners of the fans captured their skoda at 170 km/h ‘flying’ literally.
Images for which the Dutch press highlighted in the Japan Grand Prix asked Max himself, which hallucinated with his father’s rhythm (remember, former Formula 1 pilot).
“Yes, I have seen them, I sent them to me and I told him that I was completely crazy,” I joked with the reporters. “He is doing very well. I, of course, would not try … but you have to reconcose that he is doing very well.”
