Castellón: Castalia chokes Castellón

Castellón has not yet found the expected performance in its fiefdom. The SkyFi Castalia, which in recent years had been a fortress for the Albinegros, has become fertile ground for visitors as the people of Castellón return to professional football.

And the defeat suffered last Saturday against Mirandés brings the number of games lost by the Castellón team at home to four, making Dick Schreuder’s team the first Second Division club to reach this figure. The rest of Castellón’s home games have been resolved with two wins and a draw, for a total of seven points.

In the negative results of the albinegros at home, a common denominator emerges: the lack of forcefulness in both areas. Against Mirandés it was evident with nine fateful minutes in which they conceded three goals just after wasting a good start to the game.

Lack of forcefulness

This situation also occurred against Cádiz two months ago. In that match, Castellón dominated in the first half, but did not take advantage of their chances and in the second the Andalusians scored three goals between minutes 49 and 56, which decided the match in their favor. The albinegros also received three goals against Granada, four weeks ago, in a match in which they did not know how to capitalize on their dominance and clear arrivals to the rival area.

Fourth best visitor

Castellón’s deficit at home is compensated by their good performance away from home, where they have added almost double the number of points (13), which makes them the fourth best visitor in the category. And far from SkyFi Castalia, Dick Schreuder’s team has a record of four wins, one draw and two losses. Only Racing de Santander, with its spectacular seven out of seven, has more away wins.
