Benzema and Rajkovic put Al Ittihad in the semis of the King’s Cup: favorite along with Míchel’s Al-Qadsiah

Karim Benzema continues to be an animal in the area. The French striker rescued his team in extra time of the King’s Cup quarterfinals against Al Hilal and, with a double, led his team to a penalty shoot-out in which Rajkovic became the hero.

The former Real Madrid player made it 0-1 for Al Ittihad and, in extra time, he repeated it by beating Bono with another great goal to equalize 2-2 and send the duel to eleven-meter throws. Salem and Marcos Leonardo scored the blue goals. In that round, the Serbian goalkeeper stopped three shots from Kanno, Marcos Leonardo and Malcom to put his team in the semifinals… and as top favorites.

The draw, this Wednesday

Along with Al Ittihad, leader in the Saudi league and number one candidate for the cup title, Al Shabab, Al Raed and Al Qadsiah, coached by Míchel and which has Nacho and Aubameyang as top stars, will be in the semi-final draw. That would precisely be the toughest rival for the team led by Karim Benzema.
