The 2025 F1 season did not receive the ‘Alpine’ team open with open arms. After the first two days of the calendar (Australia, China), the French team is the only one who has failed to score in the queen category of motor sport. However, despite the bad results, Pierre Gasly is confident that the squad based in the United Kingdom can win races and even fight for the World Cup the following campaign.

Pierre Gasly and its forecast for 2026
The ’10’ of the current grid of Formula 1 does not see this panorama fucking for 2026, as long as the right decisions are made at all times. One thing is sure, and it will not be easy to fight against the best teams in the World Cup, since an error can cost them very expensive in a possible fight for the title.
“I want to go big. I have told it since last year, although I am not the one who handles finance, that if it would depend on me I would put all the money in next year, because if you ask me, I do not care much to finish seventh, sixth, eighth, ninth or tenth, I want to be on the podium and I want to be winning,” Gasly said in the official podcast of Formula 1, ‘Beyond the Grid’.

The former ‘Red Bull’ pilot clarifies that investing this season is not the best idea, since “we will not be able to close the gap with the McLaren and with the head group. Next year, as a team, I see a great opportunity. We could be fighting for the World Cup in 2026 if we take the right steps and if we make the appropriate decisions,” he adds.
Although the scenario seems distant, Gasly dreams of sitting again at the top of the podium since his only victory in Monza 2020. “The strategy is already determined, the engine and the way we are going to develop the car, just like the approach. There are many more things that we can get as a team in 2026 and that is why I am very excited, because we could see Alpine win races next year.”

A year of many changes
The 2026 season of Formula 1 will be crucial for all teams, not only for ‘Alpine’. A new change in the regulations and the introduction of a new era with a hybrid engine with more electrical power, can surprise several shields. In addition, the Gallic team address trusts a new beginning when propelled by Mercedes and set aside Renault engines.
