Alejandro Aguilera achieves his first professional victory at the Croara Alps Open

Alejandro Aguilera from Madrid achieved his first victory as a professional golfer this Sunday by winning the Croara Alps Open, the last tournament of the regular season of the Alps Tour and played at the Croara Country Club in Gazzola (Italy).

Aguilera, 24, took the victory after a two-hole playoff with the Austrian amateur Jakob Lotschak, with whom he finished tied after three rounds at 14 under par.

The Madrid native, who to date had a seventh place in the Alps of Andalusia as his best result, won in Italy with rounds of 69, 68 and 62, the latter this Sunday with ten birdies and a single bogey.

Thanks to this victory, Aguilera has risen 34 places in the circuit’s Order of Merit and has established herself in twenty-second position. He will be in the Grand Final of the Alps Tour next week, reports the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.
