Rory Mcilroy was proclaimed champion of Augusta Masters. It was an unforgettable battle in which the leadership was changing hands, but with the Norirlandés always in the fight. Everything was resolved in a somewhat unexpected rack, because Mcilory had a short putt in 18 with which he could have left everything resolved without having to go to a ‘sudden death’ against Justin Rose. However, this endowed with more emotion if possible to the outcome. Finally, the Grand Slam circle was crowned and closed.
Who has followed Rory’s trajectory will know that at a very early age he became a media figure, especially since he appeared in a television program in his country. He was a prodigy child and his father –osie and Gerry- were totally delivered to the cause of golf. That child’s fate was to become a great golfer, although he has exceeded expectations.
There is a video in which a lovely and young Rory Mcilroy, 9, sneaks balls in a washing machine on that television program. The golfer appears in a Norirlandés interview show called ‘Kelly’ and is proud and excited to show his skills to presenter Gerry Kelly.
