Alphonso Davies has said goodbye to this season and, probably, to a good part of 2025 after suffering a break in the cross ligament of the right knee. Bayern Munich’s footballer was injured on the recent FIFA date during the match between Canada and the United States for third place in the Concacaf Nations League.

After the hard injury that will keep him away from the courts for a long time, the footballer’s agent, Nedal Househ, issued a statement in which he holds the Canadian Football Federation and coach Jesse Marsch of what happened, noting that the left side had been dragging the injury from the semifinal match against Mexico and it was not planned to see action in the commitment to the combination of stars’.

“Alphonso was not one hundred percent after the match against Mexico and it was planned that he was not a starter against the United States,” said Househ.

Subsequently, he pointed against the Canadian coach, Jesse Marsch: “As a captain, I feel that the coach pressed him to be a starter. Alphonso is not one of those who refuse at that time. He ended up playing and look at what happened. In my opinion, the Canadian Football Federation must better manage these players.”

Despite the sharp statement of the Davies agent and the statements of Max Eberl sports director of Bayern Munich, the Federation of the North American country continues without issuing an official pronouncement about the injury of its largest figure.
