Everton confirmed this Saturday the hiring of David Moyes as their new coach, after the dismissal of Sean Dyche. Moyes returns to what was his home between 2002 and 2013, when he managed to take Everton to the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and an FA Cup final.
“I enjoyed 11 wonderful years at Everton and I didn’t hesitate when they offered me the opportunity to return to this great club,” Moyes said in a statement.

“Now, we need Goodison and all the fans to play their part in supporting the players so we can move next season to a new stadium as a Premier League team.” Dyche was sacked on Thursday with Everton in 16th place, just one point above relegation.
Moyes, after his time at Everton, was at Manchester United for only one season, being the failed replacement for Alex Ferguson, and then he coached at Real Sociedad, Sunderland and West Ham United on two occasions. With the ‘Hammers’ he achieved his greatest achievement, winning the Conference League two seasons ago.
