Robinho, Real Madrid footballer from 2005 to 2008, is serving a nine-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2022 in Italy for a group rape committed in the transalpine country in 2013.
The Brazilian press published that the former Santos, Madrid, Manchester City, Milan AC, Guangzhou Evergrande, Atlético Mineiro, Sivasspor and Istanbul player Baakehir FK could not celebrate the New Year’s Eve parties with his wife Vivian, as the prison authorities denied him a request for a special permit.
Robinho: “I’m not a monster”
Robinho stated in an interview with ‘TV Record’ that he has enough evidence to prove his innocence that was ignored, even after the trial, by the Italian Justice.
The Brazilian admits to having had a brief relationship with the victim on the night of the crime for which he has been convicted and wanted to make it clear that the relationship was consensual and that police tests failed to detect his DNA (he would have used a condom).
In 2005, Real Madrid signed Robinho as one of the great projects in world football. Almost 20 years later, the Brazilian faces a prison sentence for rape. The Brazilian gives an interview to ‘Domingo Espectacular’ to show his opinion.
“We had a superficial and quick relationship. We exchanged kisses, after that I went home. There were other people in the place. When I saw that she wanted to continue with other guys, I went home… I never denied it. It was consensual “I never denied it. I could have denied it, because my DNA is not there. But I’m not a liar,” explained the former Santos player.
Robinho, Real Madrid footballer from 2005 to 2008, was arrested in Santos (Brazil) after the STJ (Superior Court of Justice) decided that the 40-year-old former player must serve for rape in Brazil.
Robinho is imprisoned in Tremembé Penitentiary II, the prison of Brazil’s famous people
The 40-year-old former soccer player is imprisoned in the Dr. José Augusto César Salgado P2 prison (Tremembé Penitentiary II) in Sao Paulo, known as the “celebrity prison” in Brazil with 430 prisoners distributed in cells that vary in size. 9 to 15 square meters and can accommodate up to 6 people.
Famous murderers with whom Robinho lives in Tremembé Penitentiary II
In Tremembé Penitentiary II, where there are politicians (Luiz Estevao), celebrities (Antonio Marcos Pimenta das Neves) and famous murderers such as Alexandre Nardoni, Cristian Cravinhos (the Von Richthofen murderer), Roger Abdelmassih (doctor who abused 39 sedated patients) or Lindemberg Alves, who were convicted of crimes such as rape, kidnapping or murder.
This is how Tinder works in the “celebrity prison” in Brazil where Robinho is imprisoned
The journalist Ullisses Campbell revealed in a book about the Von Richthofen murders that the inmates of the Robinho prison designed a kind of Tinder with inmates from another module located five kilometers away.
The system consists of prisoners sending full-body photographs to prisoners thanks to visits and personal letters that were read out loud by security personnel.
That prison ‘root Tinder’ forged the romantic relationship between two famous murderers. Vinícius Nunes (killed his own brother) and Jaqueline Moraes (killed her husband by stabbing him 56 times) began a relationship, which broke up after the prisoner broke up with his lover… upon discovering that she was “fatter and more wrinkled” than in the photos they shared. Shortly afterward he became engaged to another prisoner.
