The PGA Tour cannot be seen on Movistar in 2025

Two decades later, the PGA Tour circuit will not be able to be seen on Movistar from January 2, 2025. The Spanish operator thus loses the broadcasting rights of the circuit, which had been broadcast on this channel since 2002.

The Discovery group has owned the television rights to the PGA Tour since 2019, but in recent years it had reached an agreement with Movistar so that it could broadcast the tournaments. However, this time that transfer agreement has not come to fruition and starting in 2025 the circuit will be broadcast on the MAX streaming channel.

It will be The Sentry Tournament, which starts this Thursday in Maui, the premiere of the circuit’s broadcasts on the channel, which already broadcast the Olympic Games golf competition in the summer. MAX’s programming will comprehensively cover tournaments, from the ‘majors’ to the weekly events on the official calendar.
