A ‘Klassiker’ with the best Musiala… but ignored by ‘The Best’

This afternoon (6:30 p.m.) a new, very unequal edition of the German ‘Klassiker’ is played between Dortmund and Bayern. Those from Munich are outstanding leaders of the Bundesliga, with Dortmund in fifth place, 10 points behind the Munich team.

The ‘Klassiker’ will have many names of his own, but perhaps none as relevant, due to his good performance, as that of Jamal Musiala, the fittest German player with extraordinary numbers: nine games, five goals and two assists in ‘Bundes’, plus 5-1-2 in the Champions League and 2-3-0 in the German Cup.

Coach Aemán gives his impressions about his two young promises

Well, despite all this and despite everything it has done in 2024, FIFA decided, in a nomination that is not understood in Germany, to exclude the young number 10 from the Teutonic National Team for The Best 2024 Awards, a difficult decision to understand if we take into account those numbers and these other details: Jamal was the best German player in the last Euro; He was one of the top scorers of the tournament (tied at three goals with five other players); and was included in the official best 11 of the tournament.

Jamal also had a good Champions League 23-24, and many Real Madrid fans will remember their semi-final tie against Real Madrid (especially the first leg). Therefore, it is surprising that FIFA has ignored it.

Anyway, Musiala today has a new opportunity to show that his football is among the ‘The Best’ on the continent. This ‘Klassiker’ catches him in his ‘the Best’ form of the season.
